Miss Windsor Princess & Queen Contest Rules

Contest Rules - Please Retain for your Reference

  • Contestant's permanent residence must be located within the Windsor School District.
  • Contestant must be single (non-married), female (gender assigned at birth), and without children
  • Contestant must be between the ages of 12-18 on or before August 24, 2025.
  • Each contestant must submit a completed Application, Sponsorship Form, 2 Recommendation Letters, Parent/Guardian Permission & Release Form, and a check(s) totaling $25 made payable to Windsor SeptemberFest either in person, or by registering online at www.windsorseptemberfest.com according to the following deadlines:

Online Registration: Online Registration will close at 12:00am August 18, 2025.

Drop Off Deadline: Drop off to Wanda's Bookkeeping NO later than 4:00pm August 22, 2025 209 S. Main, Windsor

  • 1st place winner will be awarded the title of Queen; 2nd place winner will be awarded the title of First Princess; 3rd place winner will be awarded the title of Second Princess.
  • Queen winner must participate in the SeptemberFest Parade, Saturday, August 30, 2025 (Princess & Queen winners must provide their own car.)
  • Queen winner may be asked to make appearances throughout the remainder of the SeptemberFest activities, wearing her Tiara and Sash while in public. Queen winner will reign for a period of 1 year and must be available throughout the year for appearances.
  • The winner crowned Miss Windsor is entitled to a $250 scholarship payable to the university or trade school of her choosing. If the winner does not attend such accredited institution, the scholarship is void. Scholarships will be made payable to the university or trade school and will not be made out to individuals or private parties.
  • Queen winner must be available for all parades & activities in the city of Windsor, without prior notification.
  • All winners must be available to hand down their title at the 2026 SeptemberFest Miss Windsor Queen contest.
  • No entry fee refunds.
  • Judges decisions are final.

Contest:
4:00pm - Sunday, August 24, 2025 (Participants arrive by 3:30 pm!)
Windsor United Methodist Church 216 S. Main Street, Windsor

Crowning:
7:30pm - Thursday, August 28, 2025 (Participants arrive by 7:15 pm!)
Main Stage on East Benton Street (In the event of rain, crowning at UMC)

Miss Windsor Princess & Queen Sponsorship

  • Each sponsorship is $20 per entry and must be collected from each contestant with the completed application
  • Anyone can be a sponsor! It’s as easy as obtaining the full amount from a business, friend or family member. Partial amounts can also be obtained from more than one sponsor. Your sponsor(s) will be announced each time you take the stage.
  • If a sponsor requests a receipt upon their donation, please indicate this on the form below and contact Karla Harrison at 660-890-4847 for more information.
  • Sponsors paying by check should make checks payable to Windsor Septemberfest

Essay

  • Each contestant must submit, along with their Application, Sponsorship Form, Parent/Guardian Permission & Release Form, and a check(s) totaling $25, an essay with a minimum of 250 characters.
  • This essay should highlight why you are a qualified candidate to represent Windsor as 2024 SeptemberFest Royalty.

A word to our contestants:

Everyone has individual assets that make them special! A queen or princess' best qualities include professionalism, good taste, good sportsmanship, integrity, intelligence, poise, communication skills and both inner and outer beauty. Attitude is Everything! Your attitude will make a difference in your success. Our panel of judges will all have their own views, but all agree that a queen and princess should be neat, well groomed, able to stay confident in any situation, able to express her own opinions professionally and have pride in her community.

Parent/Guardian Permission & Release

By submitting this form, I agree that I am the parent or guardian of the person named in the application above and they have my permission to participate in the SeptemberFest Miss Windsor Princess/Queen Contest. I agree to assume full responsibility for my child, myself, and our personal property and will not hold the State of Missouri, Henry County, City of Windsor, Windsor SeptemberFest, United Methodist Church, Wanda's Bookkeeping, or anyone associated in any way liable for any personal injuries or accidents, loss or damages to person or property.

Participants agree to observe all rules of this contest. Participants warrant that by completing this online application that he/she has read and understands the rules of this contest.

I further give permission for my child to ride in the SeptemberFest Parade.
